An exclusive look behind the scenes
Here you will find news from Bering Yacht Shipyard, from design to Sea Trials and lore of Explorer ships.
Advantages of boat length less than 24 meters
Here you can read about the advantages of building or buying a yacht under 24 meters.
For more safety on board
All Bering yachts are built to CE certified Category A seaworthiness standards. Bering can also build its vessels to meet most classification standards.
Milestones of a new yacht construction project
When building an Explorer yacht, customers typically go through the following milestones. Bering yachts are built on average within 14- 24 months.
CE category A certification for yachts
All Bering yachts are self-sufficient CE A certified boats designed for extended cruising above wind force 8 (over 40 knots) and significant wave heights over 4 meters.
Cross any ocean comfortably
The owner/operator, not the ship, should be the deciding factor in choosing a destination.
Hybrid hull design for more efficiency
Bering's hybrid hull design is part round bilge, part hard chine and part double skeg protection.
Aluminum or steel yacht building?
When it comes to the hull of a large Explorer yacht, steel hulls are a much better choice than aluminum. There are a number of reasons for this, but first and foremost, aluminum is not designed for long, transoceanic voyages.
GRP or steel yacht purchase ?
Steel ships are heavier and have a larger displacement than GRP yachts. A steel hull in combination with aluminum superstructure, as in Bering yachts, have a low center of gravity, making the yacht more comfortable. Also, a steel hull can be isolated from noise and vibration than a GRP hull.
Commercial Yacht Class
Commercial yacht means a commercially used (e.g., chartered) motor vessel for sport and recreation that does not carry cargo or more than 12 passengers.
