Hybrid hull design for more efficiency

CFD analysis hull shape Bering Explorer Yacht B77

Bering's hybrid hull design is one part round bilge, another part hard chine, and one part double skeg protection. The result is better passive stabilization through high chine buoyancy, which counteracts lateral roll, but still retains the damping characteristics of a round chine hull. This can be most effective at anchor or in high seas. Bering performs extensive 3D hydrodynamic hull modeling and calculations to perfect trawler efficiency and hull design and reduce fuel consumption for each new yacht built.
