Owner operated yacht (Owner operated yacht)
Being owner operated means that you are not only the owner of a boat, but you also lead, operate and manage the yacht without a professional crew on board. Of course, you can still hire a captain and a steward if you want to focus on entertaining your guests.
However, there are various aspects that you, as the operator, must take into account, such as the day-to-day management of the yacht, guiding the yacht, planning excursions, supplies for excursions and all the different ways you can enjoy your yacht. You will be responsible for checking the condition and functionality of the engines and generators, as well as the various fluid levels, and scheduling maintenance and/or warranty work and repairs as needed.
The disadvantage of an owner operation (owner operation) is that you have to spend a lot of time taking care of your yacht and machinery. The advantage is that you save the money for the crew and have full control over what happens on board your yacht.
