Explorer yachts with a purpose: Bering Yachts and the commitment to marine research

Owning an explorer yacht should mean more than just travel and leisure. Alexei Mikhailov, founder of Bering Yachts, understands this deeper purpose and is actively involved in projects that go beyond pure luxury. Together with initiatives such as Yachts for Science and Mission Blue, he supports one of the most fascinating marine research projects in the Caribbean.

In the protected Silver Bank area of the Dominican Republic, an important refuge for the North Atlantic humpback whale, 13 people from 9 nations lived on board a Bering yacht for five days. They explored the marine environment, swam with whales and collected valuable scientific data. Alexei was there from the beginning and is determined to continue such expeditions in the future and make them available to other yacht owners.

The fully displacement expedition yachts from Bering Yachts are perfectly designed for such adventures and offer scientists an exceptional working environment. In cooperation with renowned organizations such as Mission Blue and the Blue Marine Foundation, further expeditions are already being planned - from the Mediterranean region to the Antarctic.

Bering Yachts shows that luxury and sustainability can go hand in hand, giving yacht owners the opportunity to contribute to a greater cause.
