Bering Yachts opens shipyard in Burgas, Bulgaria

Bering Yachts opened a new yacht shipyard on the Black Sea in Burgas, Bulgaria.

Bogdan Gusarev, sales manager of Bering Europe, says of the Bulgarian facilities, "We are very proud of the expansion of our operations in Europe. Bulgaria is a strategically important location as it increases our construction capacity and brings us physically closer to European customers."

Burgas has a long shipping tradition and is located on several shipping lanes, making it a tactical location for shipbuilding. Bering's first task is to start "modernizing" the new facilities, which means, among other things, "investing in people and equipment," Gusarev said.

He continued, "Together with the strong support of the local authorities, Bering Yachts will soon start building our first flagship in Burgas."

Bering Yachts' expansion in Bulgaria comes in the wake of significant milestones for the shipyard, including the recent launch of its largest yacht to date, the first B145 Heeus.
