Bering Marine uses HYSUCAT technology.

Bering Marine's unique foil support technology provides optimal self-correcting dynamics. The foils support between 40% and 75% of the vessel's displacement. This reduces the volume of the hull, which reduces drag and improves seaworthiness.

Efficiency, seaworthiness, low wave generation and reduced emissions offer significant benefits to our customers. The reduced resistance at the underwater sections of our vessel improves efficiency. This results in lower propulsion requirements, reduced fuel consumption and a lighter vessel.

The hydrofoil wings create an inherent dampening effect, providing a much smoother ride. This allows the boat to operate at higher average speeds in rough and unpredictable seas. Reduced drag and reduced propulsive power reduce wave action, which is beneficial for waterways that have wave restrictions and limitations. In addition, the foil-assisted catamaran is the optimal shape for operations requiring speeds above 30 knots.

Other advantages of Bering Marine include ease of use - no special knowledge or skills are required for operation - and a 30% reduction in fuel consumption at operating speed. A 50% reduction in vertical accelerations improves passenger comfort and reduces scantlings. In critical applications of wave formation, the Hysucat foil system achieves a wave cancellation effect between the hulls and foils. The catamaran hull also provides higher initial stability for lower drag and improved passenger comfort.

Advantages of Hydrofoil technology: Generates dynamic forces that lift the catamaran partially out of the water. Reduced frictional resistance allows the boat to reach higher maximum speeds. Improves fuel efficiency while gliding on the water. Ensures strong absorption of vertical and pitch motions. This ensures a constant and smooth glide and immersion in the waves. The hull remains stable throughout the journey and shows no signs of hard impact. Longer distances, even in rough waters, can be covered without major physical fatigue symptoms. Allows the boat to run on smaller engines than a monohull of the same size. This reduces the cost of the vessel and improves fuel economy.
